Neringa municipality together with Nida Art Colony of the Vilnius Academy of Arts invites professionals working in the fields of visual and applied arts, design, architecture, art history, theory, and criticism living and working in Lithuania and/or Lithuanian citizens who live abroad to submit applications for the Neringa Scholarship.

The scholarship grants a 1000€ stipend and a one month residency at NAC usually during November. The amount of the stipend does not change also in case of a collective application.

The scholarship is awarded through a competition. The applicant must submit a project proposal related to the political, social, cultural and/or ecological aspects of the Curonian Spit.

Evaluations are based on the applicants’ submitted materials according to the following criteria:
1. Professional artistic practice, relevant experience in showing and discussing work in public;
2. Necessity of conducting work in Nida and understanding of NAC as institution and organisation;
3. Impact of spending time in Nida for one’s general practice;
4. The project’s feasibility of being implemented during a month-long residency at NAC and presented at the end of the residency.

Applications are assessed by the NAC team and final selection made by Neringa Municipality.
