How to Reach Nida

To get to Nida, you should first reach Klaipėda, regardless of whether you are transferring in Vilnius (359 km), Kaunas (261 km), Palanga (81 km), or Riga (319 km). Below are various travel options.

Ferry
Klaipėda is well connected to Sweden and Germany via DFDS ferry from Karlshamm and Kiel.

Bus
International Bus routes to Lithuania (Kaunas and Vilnius) are operated by:
Flixbus, Ecolines, Lux Express (only Latvia and Estonia)

Airplane
The closest airport is Palanga, followed by Kaunas, Vilnius, and Riga. We recommend consulting the airport websites for direct flight connections:
Palanga, Kaunas, Vilnius, Riga

Car
Since the Curonian Spit and Klaipėda are not connected by a bridge, when arriving with your own car in Klaipeda, you’ll need to take the car ferry from the New Ferry terminal. For ferry schedule and prices, visit keltas.lt
When entering the Curonian Spit National Park with your vehicle, you will have to pay an entry fee. Prices vary depending on the season and are listed on the Neringa Municipality website. Payments are possible by cash or card.
** Car rental
In addition to the usual car rental companies, a variety of car sharing-mobility app options such as CityBee, Spark, Bolt, and others operate in Lithuania. Please note that drop-off in Nida or anywhere on the Curonian Spit is not possible. There is no car rental service available in Nida.

Since Curonian Spit and Klaipeda are not connected by a bridge, you need to take the ferry to reach the connecting bus to Nida from Smiltynė

For example: If you plan to take a 2:10 pm bus to Nida, you should take the 2 pm ferry. For ferry schedule visit keltas.lt

The last bus from Smiltynė to Nida leaves at 21:10. You can find the bus schedule and purchase tickets on autobusubilietai.lt or directly on the bus. Both the ferry and the bus accept cash and card payments.

** Important note
