Márk Redele lives and works in Amsterdam. They are currently concerned with materials that appear both as traces of and contingencies within the universal experience of suffering. They explore this theme through excursions between the personal, the geopolitical and the ecological, continually collapsing these spheres into one another. In their work, uncertainty, fragility, fluidity and porosity manifest as the undoing of confidence and singularity and as a trace of an other-kind-of-intelligence. They organise research at the Sandberg Instituut, have just published a book with Building Fictions and have recently exhibited at 019 in Ghent, LLS Palais in Antwerp, Gallery Ellipsis and San Serriffe, both in Amsterdam.
