'Paradigm shift from "traditional" to creative industries - the essence for sustainable regional development' is an initiative to establish an educational platform, unifying intellectual capacity of experienced cross-border partners: Kuldiga district municipality, Nida Art Colony of Vilnius Academy of Arts (higher education), Klaipeda Culture Communication Centre (Klaipeda Municipality), Liepaja Creative Industry Cluster (NGO). The project intends to tackle one of the most important cross-border challenges – the intellectual capacity of area’s labor market, which is one of the most crucial resources for regional development. Project’s objectives are implementation of an educational program for two years for 160 participants, and modernization of partners’ workrooms and studios with ICT, multimedia (Klaipeda), conference (Nida), textile (Liepaja) and 3D prototyping (Kuldiga) equipment. Participants from the fields of art, design, education, business and other will be invited to apply for trainings and workshops, while public lectures on creative thinking and exhibitions will be offered for a wider public, but the modernized studios will be available for wide range of trainings and co-working purposes in the field of creative industries.
Main project aim: project will promote Center's operation within the field of creative industries. Organising educational activities will give an input into labor-market skill's development for new or existing businesses and help improving the employment sector in the area.
Benefits for VAA Nida Art Colony:
1) Upgrading the conference space equipment and furniture.
Fully equipt conference space for a wide range of the events will be developed to accommodate an audience reaching up to 100 participants. Interactive screen, magnetic boards and furniture (tables and chairs) will be installed. It will significantly raise the quality of VAA Nida Art Colony workshops, seminars and other events.
2) IT network upgrade:
Existing VAA Nida Art Colony IT infrastructure will be upgraded with new wireless hardware and other devices. This will be improved with capacity for up to 200 workshops, seminars and other event participants to work online and share content.
Target audience: Klaipėda region creative community, lectors and students of Vilnius Academy of Arts, Klaipėda university, variety of art professionals, creative industries professionals, startup, businness representatives.
Related audience: lecturers of seminars and workshops, community of Neringa and
guests.
