Neringa Gymnasium

As part of the Neringa Municipality initiative to promote the development of an Educational Cluster connecting Neringa Gymnasium with art and cultural organisations in the Neringa and Klaipėda regions, Nida Art Colony of Vilnius Academy of Arts, in collaboration with the Curonian Spit National Park and the Old Growth Forest Foundation, is organising a talk by environmental educator Riitta (Nyyskä) Nykänen, followed by a screening of the Forest Workshop film.

The educational activities of the Neringa Forest Classroom, taking place from 25–29 November, are supported by environmental educator Riitta (Nyyskä) Nykänen from the Mustarinda Association in Finland. Nyyskä develops learning materials for outdoor environmental education, providing teachers with new tools and strategies to engage students with their natural surroundings. On 27 November, Nyyskä gives a talk for Neringa Gymnasium teachers, sharing insights and practical approaches to enhance environmental education in their teaching practices.

The talk is followed by a screening of Forest Workshops, a film by Neringa Forest Architecture in collaboration with the Mustarinda Association. The film, originally created for the Children’s Forest Pavilion installation in Venice, has been adapted for screenings in Lithuania, with Lithuanian subtitles.
