The creative practice of this course includes observation, analysis, discussions, and hands-on work. Students from VAA (Vilnius Academy of Arts) and KU (Klaipėda University) are invited to explore processes of change, develop critical thinking skills, and express their insights both in writing and through visual (digital media) tools. The involvement of KU students provides a broader perspective on the assignment, helps VAA students become more familiar with diverse communication approaches, and fosters future collaboration on joint projects.

During the practice, students will observe the landscape of the Curonian Spit and delve into the principles of change, such as coastal erosion and dune degradation. They will analyze both natural forces (like wind, waves, and time) and human-induced processes. Drawing analogies from nature, they will examine how technological progress affects the creative process—exploring the shift from traditional tools to digital media, what is lost, and what is gained in that transition. Which processes feel natural, and which are imposed? How can one find balance and preserve creativity?

Students will digitize the collected material and create a visual computer graphics project. The practical work will be completed using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator software. Course outcomes: a digital diary (containing insights, observations, analysis, and sketches), a social poster (created by VAA students), and a written paper (prepared by KU students).
