Philippa Driest
Philippa *Flip* Driest is a Rotterdam-based artist, bookseller and publisher. She is the founder of KIOSK Rotterdam, a bookshop, print workshop and speakeasy.
Her artistic practice involves maintenance research and distribution. In her work, she explores sites of contamination and leakage through performance, multimedia research installations and publishing. Multi Tool Press is a leaky press, that uses publishing as a tool for thinking and spilling.
Her interest lies in opening up spaces for critical engagement, creating collaborative structures, and building alternative systems for learning through workshops and self-organization.
She was part of the first year of WHW Akademija, Zagreb (2018-2019), recently finished her MA at the Dutch Art Institute (2021) and BAK Fellowship for situated practice (2021-2022).
