Justina Semčenkaitė

Justina Semčenkaitė is a fashion designer and educator whose practice is rooted in sustainability. She develops conceptual objects that critically address social and cultural issues while teaching sustainable fashion at Vilnius Academy of Arts. After completing her BA and MA in Fashion Design at the Academy (2018), she is currently pursuing a PhD in Design. Her creative language is characterized by bright, surreal, and ironic expressions, frequently employing pink as a visual code to examine feminism, socio-cultural stereotypes, fashion experiments, and activist narratives. Among her notable projects are the experimental collection GIRL POWER and the exhibition Welcome to the Pretty Ugly World. In addition to her artistic research and practice, she coordinates Fashion Revolution Lithuania, contributing to international advocacy for ethical and socially responsible fashion.
