Anna Wohlgemuth
Anna Wohlgemuth is a stage designer/scenographer and a doctoral candidate in artistic research, focusing on visual storytelling and Worlding History in popular media, theatre, film, and installations. In theatre and performance, she works in collaborations, most recently with Teresa Vittucci (Sane Satan, Doom, WE BODIES, Kampnagel Hamburg, Tanzhaus Zürich, with international guest performances), with FX Mayr, Korbinian Schmidt, and Martina Berther (Gletscher Requiem, Das Gewitter, Theater Neumarkt Zürich; Als die Götter Menschen waren, Der Revisor, Nationaltheater Mannheim; Leichter Gesang, Deutsches Theater Berlin), and with Piet Baumgartner (EWS – der einzige Politthriller der Schweiz, Theater Neumarkt Zürich). Her stage design for Portrait einer geraden Linie was presented in 2018 as a solo exhibition at the Kunstverein Friedrichshafen. She is the recipient of the Theatre Award of the Zurich University of the Arts and the Roman Clemens Prize for Scenography. Since 2020, she has complemented her artistic practice as research associate in the 3rd Cycle Research at the Institute for the Performing Arts and Film (ZHdK) and teaches in the BA Szenischer Raum / Scenographic Design program at ZHdK.
