Ana Vicente Richards
Ana Vicente Richards is an Anglo-Portuguese artist-educator-researcher based in North London. Ana’s work explores modes of attention and being-with in relation to site-specificity, place, the body and learning. Her approach is multimodal adopting embodied, improvisatory, collaborative and choreographic methods across drawing, movement, performance and writing. She has worked in various roles within Art & Design education in the UK for the past seventeen years. She currently teaches on the Foundation Art & Design course and the MA Fine Art at City & Guilds of London Art School and she is a Senior External Moderator for the University of the Arts London Awarding Body. Ana holds an MA in Performance Making and an MA in Education Studies (Art & Learning) from Goldsmiths, University of London and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of the Arts London (LCC) researching tremor as an epistemological gesture in artistic-pedagogic practice. She is a member of the Experimental Pedagogies Research Group based at UAL and a co-convener of a UK based cross-institutional Interdisciplinary Practice-Based Research Network called Seeders.
