Clare Chun-yu Liu: Screening and Talk

For her individual residency at Nida Art Colony, Clare Chun-yu Liu is working on a new film with the working title Becoming and becoming. It forms part of her ongoing filmmaking project in which to re-interpret the European cultural history of chinoiserie through fictional but historical ethnography. Becoming and becoming is a contemplation on in-betweenness. In between reality and non-reality, fiction and non-fiction, past and present, there is space for changing, moving, burgeoning and becoming.

This event will screen Clare Chun-yu Liu’s films This is China of a particular sort, I do not know (2020), Another beautiful dream (2022) and Becoming and becoming (in production).
