New Kyd (they/she) is an artist working with dance, movement, film and sound. They will give an artist talk about their research and the ways people from the diaspora survive and navigate complex structures within institutional framework. Kyd suggests the idea of “radical joy” as a way to confront these frameworks. The talk by Kyd will be free flowing exploration of these strategies. Sharing examples of how they have responded to these challenges.
