Neringa Municipal Council together with NAC of the Vilnius Academy of Arts invites professionals working in the fields of visual and applied arts, design, architecture, art history, theory, and criticism living and working in Lithuania and/or Lithuanian citizens to submit applications for the Neringa Scholarship.

The scholarship grants a 1000€ stipend and a one month residency at NAC usually during November. The amount of the stipend does not change also in case of a collective application. Applications process takes place in May.

The scholarship is awarded through a competition. The selection is made by the jury of delegated members of Neringa municipality and NAC. The applicant must submit a project proposal related to the political, social, cultural and/or ecological aspects of the Curonian Spit.

The project is to be implemented during a month-long residency at NAC and presented at the end of the residency.

The most important selection criteria are: the quality of the applicant’s artistic practice, the originality and relevance of the proposed project, and the project feasibility.

Applications are assessed by the NAC team and final selection made by Neringa Municipality. Selected resident is announced in the beginning of July.
