This month's Open Studios event will be heavy! 8 current artists in residence are opening the doors to the studios and inviting us to get to know their practices better. Also, summer is just around the corner and Nida is simply glowing! What could be better? Artists Lena Sieder-Semlitsch (DE), Liesbet Grupping (BE), Diana Drake (AR/US), Tereza Záchová (CZ), Žilvinas Landzbergas (LT), Marion Blume (DE), Sara Evelyn (GB/NO), and Viktoria Schmid (AT) will present artworks created during the residency at Nida on the 28th of May (Tuesday), 5 pm. |

| The jury of the 58th Venice Biennale awarded the top prize for best national participation to Lithuania. It was represented by opera-performance Sun & Sea (Marina) by a theater and movie director Rugilė Barzdžiukaitė, a musician, composer Lina Lapelytė, and a writer, poet Vaiva Grainytė. |

| On the 10-27 of April Nida Art Colony temporary project space Kioskas (11 Taikos st, Nida) was turned into an Open Studio space. Residents Marion Blume, Christine Cheung, and Christina Smiros worked there interchangeably and allowed viewers to witness their artistic practices. |
