| Lena Sieder-Semlitsch (DE) (b. 1991) studied Fine arts at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria.
Lena works with a broadened concept of painting. Aside from paintings on canvas she creates rooms and situations in a painterly manner. Since 2018 she is co-running the independent art space White Dwarf Projects in Vienna where she is also publishing a magazine. During the residency at Nida Art Colony Lena will install a prototype of a regular kiosk - the one for artists’ publications and editions. Kiosk which moves on the line of display and sculpture. It is mobile and can change its form according to the surroundings. It functions as 'a library of the flaneur' and could be installed on the beach, in the dunes or in the forest, offering a variety of artistic publications for the passers-by. Kiosk would fill its shelves over the time of the residency. |

| Liesbet Grupping (BE) (b.1984) received her Master’s degree in Visual Arts (Photography) at the LUCA School of Arts, Brussels and the Master of Research in Art and Design at the St. Lucas University College of Arts and Design, Antwerp.
Since 2009 she regularly exhibits her work, endeavouring to make visible the actions that are often behind her photographic creations. While flirting with abstraction and registration, presentation as well as documentation, the artist images trigger questions on both the process and the content of the image. At the residency Liesbet will work on her ongoing project Bleu, blue, blauw in which she focuses on the principal elements of photography: time, light, space, chance, and interference. By pointing the camera to the sky and recording through long exposures, she will investigate the versatility of the colour blue, its meaning, as well as the possibilities to render colour in (analogue) photography. |

| Diana Drake (AR/US) (b. 1984) studied Visual Art at the National University of the Arts in Buenos Aires, Philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina and Fine Art at the Steinhardt School in New York, United States.

By focusing on the way imagination operates as a recombination of forms the artist looks to the repetition of historical images and tackle questions of their meanings. At Nida Art Colony Diana will work on her text Hovering Near an Important Level, concerning issues of liquidity in information technologies and economics, the sea, the act of seeing, and the gaze of others. Artist will accompany this with other works in the medium of drawing, photography, as well as sound recordings of walks and other explorations in the surrounding settings. |

She is considering topics such as quantum physics, ecology, food systems, sustainable sources and participatory thinking - a combination of elements of ordinary life. At the residency Tereza will work on the archive of artists who stayed at Nida Art Colony and the topics they tangled during the residency. Sara’s starting point for the project that she will develop during the residency is the period of nautical twilight which occurs each day, when the landscape is filled with an increased song output performed by birds, prior to sunrise during the breeding season. Artist will be working with the voice, sound and collected field recordings in the surroundings of Nida. An audio-visual piece will be developed in collaboration with Lithuanian artist Beatričė Bukantytė and Ventės Ragas Ornithological Centre. |

| Marion Blume (DE) (b. 1983) studied jewellery at Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Her practice involves playing with the materials, getting to know them and exploring their properties in an experimental and playful working process, combined with the pragmatism that craft introduces. The objects Marion makes are the result of an intuitive way of working. The artist is interested in when the object creates itself as it emerges from the process, shaped through the properties of the material in combination with an external influence. Each piece is distinct, indicating the uniqueness and imperfection of human beings. The objects invite one to come closer without demanding to be the centre of attention, more coexisting harmoniously with the rest of the environment. During the residency at NAC Marion will research on the ethical culture, local crafts and techniques and apply them to make wearable jewellery, influenced by thecultural and natural surroundings. |

| Viktoria Schmid (AT) (b. 1986) studied Film Theory at the University of Vienna and Time-based Media at the University of Art in Linz, Austria.
The artist is working with the interface of cinema and exhibition space. She uses different mediums, such as 16mm film, video, sculpture, and photography. In the exhibition context, her works reflect on the rules and regulations of cinema. The artist breaks them up to play with the differences of the assumed opponents of cinema and exhibition space. During the residency at NAC Viktoria will continue to work on her ongoing project Proposals to Project. She will install projection screens in the various cinema-related aspect ratios in the public space and portray them with the corresponding filmformat. |
