On the 14th of May (Tuesday), 5 pm, you are invited to an open lecture The Interface of Cinema and Exhibition Space by Nida Art Colony resident Viktoria Schmid (AT) which will take place at the Vilnius faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts (Malūnų st. 3, room 102, building C1).
Viktoria Schmid is a visual artist and filmmaker based in Vienna, Austria. She studied at the Friedl-Kubelka-School in Vienna and at the University of Art in Linz. Her installations and films are shown internationally in the framework of film festivals and exhibitions.

She will talk about her interests in working at the interface of the cinema and exhibition space. The different mediums she uses, for example, 16mm film, video, and photography are the co-authors of her work - Viktoria enjoys the ways their specific characteristics form the pieces. While looking back to the early pioneers of photochemical processes Viktoria’ artistic practice incorporates re-imagining and reinventing them in the present.

The event will be held in English.
