Šárka Zahálková
Šárka Zahálková is an artist, curator, cultural manager and activist from Czech Republic. She has a long-standing interest in art as a tool for social change and art in the public realm, acoustic ecology, collective non–hierarchical work based on cooperation across disciplines, and the social/environmental turn in arts. Walking, listening and conscious and sensitive work with a place, interaction with the community as well as other artists, architects and theorists are important starting points for her artistic and curatorial work. Her artistic practice spans drawing, time-based media, installation, sound art, and community oriented participative projects. She is a PhD candidate at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.
