Maria Flora Selma Bühlmann graduated in Architecture from ETH Zurich in 2019 and has since worked as an architect with an increasing focus on craftwork. Her practice spans architecture and spatial design, including work as a scenography assistant and independent set design projects with Selina Puorger. She has been involved with gta exhibitions since 2015, initially as a guide before transitioning into exhibition construction with a strong emphasis on material reuse. In 2022, she co-led the transformation of Verein Zentralwäscherei with four collaborators, designing and constructing the space in direct collaboration with its future users. She is a co-founder of Bau-Teilen, a collective of architects and craftspeople focused on self-construction and circular building practices. Alongside her architectural and construction work, Bühlmann teaches, engaging in workshop facilitation, participatory construction projects and formal craftwork education. Through both her independent practice and Bau-Teilen, she continues to investigate the intersections of architecture, reuse and collaborative building processes. Since 2022 she has been part of the collective, gemeinsam bauen wir neu.
