Jyoti Mistry

Dr. Jyoti Mistry is a Professor in Film at HDK-Valand, University of Gothenburg and works in film both as a research form and as a mode of artistic practice. Mistry’s films are presented at film festivals as well as museum exhibitions. Recent film works include Cause of death (2020) and When I grow up I want to be a black man (2017). She has published extensively on topics pertaining to research, practice and pedagogy. Her research and practice include topics on archives, site specificities and the relationship between film aesthetics and its politics.
