NAC residency programme in December

This month Valentin Duduk, Nata Holava, Žilvinas Landzbergas, and Vytautas Volbekas stay at NAC.

Valentin Duduk is a graphic designer and dj based in Vilnius. While occupied with self-initiated projects, he is enthusiastic about the sense of community and friendship intimacies. These are the topics that find representation within a broad range of mediums, from conventional publishing to organizing a party. His works have been shown at hoast in Vienna, Rupert Alternative Education Programme in Vilnius and Kaunas Artists’ House.

Nata Holava, usually based in Barysaw, is an independent Belarusian cinematographer and researcher of Yiddish dance at the crossing of local cultures in the social, historical and political context. She explores and revives the Yiddish dance gesture as a marker of a completely erased and now disappeared Yiddish dance-and-music tradition.

Žilvinas Landzbergas lives and works in Vilnius. He studied sculpture at Vilnius Academy of Arts and completed the De Ateliers postgraduate course in Amsterdam and curates, lectures, and often engages collaborative practices into his larger scale works. Landzbergas represented Lithuania at the 57th Venice Biennale, his works have been shown at RIBOCA 1, Zentrum Paul Klee, Bern, Liverpool Biennial and others. Landzbergas has also been a board member of NAC from 2014-2019.

Vytautas Volbekas is a graphic designer living and working in Vilnius. Graduated from Gerrit Rietveld Academie Amsterdam, currently a designer of Contemporary Art Centre Vilnius and working with various institutions and cultural practitioners. In Nida Volbekas is focusing on the identity of NAC and the Lithuanian Pavilion for the 59th Venice Biennale in 2022.
