Internships at Nida Art Colony of Vilnius Art Academy

NAC offers different types of internships to students and recent graduates in the art field as well as tourism and hospitality. Internships are unpaid, however accommodation is provided. Interns stay in Nida for 3-6 months. The internship is for those who are looking for a hands on experience at a vivid contemporary art institution with a broad profile: an international artists-in-residence program, a contemporary art center with exhibition and discursive program, a site for students’ workshops and a retreat housing. As part of the staff, you will have the opportunity to work with international artists, curators and theoreticians and gain broad experience in working on art productions form A to Z. The primary responsibilities include assisting with daily tasks and helping maintain and develop the institution in all its various patterns. Internship at NAC also gives opportunity to spend time at the Curonian Spit and enjoy the unique and amazing landscape of the sand dunes, the forests and the Baltic sea.

Curatorial Assistant 

The primary task of the Curatorial Assistant is to help realize NAC's exhibition program and events and work for the international artists-in-residence program. Fluency in English is a requirement. Applicants should have archival, photography and video skills as well as experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.   

Hospitality Internship- Housekeeping

Tasks for the housekeeping internship include everything that helps to organize a pleasant stay for our guests at NAC. Given the diversity of visitors and the main objective to make everyone feel as comfortable as possible, missions may vary. From the front office to the cleaning service, the housekeeper has to interact and connect with all actors. A housekeeper internship will show you how important it is to take care of even the smallest details to ensure a welcoming atmosphere. Fluency in English is a requirement. Flexibility, patience and diplomacy as well as practical skills in house maintenance are crucial elements to bring along.
