Danutė Gambickaitė is an art critic, writer and curator based in Vilnius. Gambickaitė’s work is primarily focused on writing and curating, which is guided by the principles of a poetic gaze and an analysis of the processes of the contemporary art and culture field. She has contributed to several books, including the 2015 book Creative Partnerships and Choreography: Art Writing in Contemporary Art Criticism, presenting the phenomenon of art writing, the meaning of the term, and its significance in the context of Lithuanian contemporary art. Her most notable exhibitions include Loose Ends, TT, Žilvitis, and May 7. Gambickaitė is Chair of the LIAA, one of the initiators and director of the cultural centre SODAS 2123 and curator of the gallery Atletika.
