Australia based artist Lynette Smith is interested in ambiguity ‒ how pervasive it is and how it shapes our actions and our experience of the world. Mostly, we don’t notice the quiet, unconscious effort going on in the background to stabilise meaning, even though it’s an effort that makes action and experience possible in the first place. In Nida, Lynette will be looking at, looking for, signs of instability and inconstancy in the country around her, and working on ways to put video and words into relation to one another, so that the effort is impossible to ignore.

An artistic practice of Sara Wolfert (Sweden) focuses on narration, script-writing and archive or appropriation in various forms. She frequently uses historical or real life events as starting points for fictional elaborations exploring collaboration, multiple authorship and questions of access and agency in relation to public or semi-public space. Sara and her colleague Anne-Liis Kogan (EE/NO) were collaborating with 9th grade students of Neringa high school. The artists held workshops dedicated to drama and scriptwriting, reading and recording. The topic of the workshop was high school drama, crime fiction resembling Agatha Christie's Poirot, and other genres.
