Sara Wolfert, born 1980 in Sweden. Lives and works in Stockholm and Berlin. Her artistic practice focuses on narration, script-writing and archive or appropriation in various forms.  She frequently uses historical or real life events as starting points for fictional elaborations exploring collaboration, multiple authorship and questions of access and agency in relation to public or semi-public space. Her practice is mixed-media based; she works with drawing, animation and installation as well as writing for performance.

In Nida artist will continue with their collaborative project Whodunnit. During previous stay they wrote a script and in this residence they are going to continue with producing an audio theatre recording/audio play in collaboration with the residents in Nida. During the stay Anne-Liis and Sara will also continue writing and plan successive stages of the project; this entails collaborations, plans for filming as well as live staging.

Maria A Maeser  (b. 1984) is from Austria. She is taking part in residency exchange programme with Vorarlberg land. Maria is inspired by scientific systems and their structures. Fascinated by the aesthetics of the world of science, she learns from the structured world of communication & research, and applies the underlying concepts to other fields. In her pseudo scientific approach she invites the spectator to take part in her thought experiments.

During her stay in Nida she will be working on romanticism, exploring methods of some of the most influential artists and subsequently founders of the romantic era. Her goal is to rediscover the emotional realm and like her predecessors to re-evaluate and elevateit’s significance and representation in art, by not limiting herself to a rigid body of conceptual rules.
