The international residency and exhibition project „Climbing Invisible Structures“, organised by Nida Art Colony of Vilnius Academy of Arts, is in full swing. Ten artists and five residency centres from Iceland, Norway and Lithuania cooperate within the Project.

In the beginning of August the first artists – Berglind Jóna Hlynsdóttir (IS), Augustas Serapinas (LT) and Kristin Tårnesvik (NO) – arrived for two-month long residencies at Yo-Yo residency centre in Žeimiai (LT) and Nordic Artists‘ Centre in Dale (NO). On the 1-3 of October all Project participants will meet at a joint seminar in Nida Art Colony. Curators will elaborate on the Project concept, artists will present the ideas of their artistic projects. Three invited speakers – Emanuel Almborg (SE), Matteo Lucchetti (IT) and Roddy Bell (NO) – will give talks on the disciplinary rituals practiced within the art field. In October-December artists Mo Abd-Ulla (NO), Eglė Budvytytė (LT), Tanya Busse (NO), Victoria Durnak (NO), Gunnhildur Hauksdóttir (IS), Saulius Leonavičius (LT), and Robertas Narkus (LT) will do residencies at Skaftfell Center for Visual Art (Seyjdisfjordur, Iceland), Office for Contemporary Art Norway (Oslo) and Nordic Artists‘ Centre (Dale, Norway). Art works created during the residencies will be presented in Vilnius, Žeimiai, Nida and Oslo in 2016.
