Although snow is rarely seen in Nida and frost doesn't bite our noses yet, a calendar constantly reminds – holidays are coming. Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve... and then, look, summer is here! Nida Art Colony continues its tradition of film screening on Thursdays – on the 19th of December at 6.00 pm everyone is invited for the pre-Christmas film evening at NAC. What will be on screen?

This Thursday two films from "Doc Alliance" archive will be screened:
"Artists" (orig. Artisti, dir. Dušan Hanak, 1965, Slovakia, 14 min) is a documentary portrait of the life of circus artists during their winter break.
"33 Animals of Santa Claus" (orig. 33 zvēri ziemassvētki vecītim, dir. Laila Pakalniņa, 2011, Latvia, 50 min). Santa Claus lives on the fourth floor of an apartment block. Santa owns seven dogs, six cats, two rabbits, one crow, one pigeon, one chinchilla, one guinea pig, ten degus and some fish. “If there are heartless movies (and there are!), then we also need ones that attest to kindness.” (L.P.)
Forget holiday worries for a while and spend the evening together with good cinema and hot tea in a cosy kitchen of NAC. The event is certainly for free, everyone is welcome, ho-ho-ho!
