Neringa’s 586th Birthday Celebration

Image: Courtesy of Neringa Museums Open House Saturday, 11 November, 13:00 – 15:00 Nida Art Colony of Vilnius Academy of Arts As part of a series of events dedicated to the celebration of Neringa’s 586th birthday, NAC opens its doors to visitors interested in learning about the institution and its work as well as the projects that have been developed on site over the last few years. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet NAC’s current artists-in-residence.
Seven short films draw attention to the theme of physical and fictional borders, a subject particularly relevant to the Curonian Spit. The films focus on the present-day stories of forced displacement, migration, and escape across the borders of reality into the imaginary.
