As part of the Neringa's birthday series of events, NAC organises a film screening evening Border Crossings.

The programme showcases the works of NAC artists-in-residence Olena Siyatovska and Anna Dovhan as well as the four films made by students Martin Eichler, Clara Rummer and Helen Andres, Axel Strotmeier, and Martin Sturz from the A...kademie der bildenden Künste Wien, who visited Nida in March 2023 as part of ‘The Political Ecology of the Spit’ course. Seven short films draw attention to the theme of physical and fictional borders, a subject particularly relevant to the Curonian Spit. The films focus on the present-day stories of forced displacement, migration, and escape across the borders of reality into the imaginary.

The film screening will take place at Nida Art Colony on Friday, November 17, at 19:00.

The event is free of charge and is open to the public.
