NAC is looking for an administrator May–October 2022

 

NAC is a subdivision of Vilnius Academy of Arts, it is a site for culture community to meet, exchange, work and share the results to the public. It runs an international artist-in-residency programme, organises art and research projects, exhibitions and hosts students’ seminars. In addition, NAC offers accommodation and possibility to use conference rooms, library, common kitchen, and workshops to anyone seeking for possibilities of undisturbed time to focus, and space to rest.   


We are looking for a responsible, well organized, friendly and communicative person with work skills in administration, experience in working in hospitality field. Who is not afraid of challenges and is able to plan their working time independently to ensure the day-to-day operation of NAC. 


We would gladly accept a person who enjoys daily contact and exchange with many different persons, who is attentive to detail and great team player, and willing to work in a dynamic, multifunctional culture and education institution.


We currently seek someone for the time period of May until October, but we are also open for long-term employment. 


Main tasks include: 

 
  • Manage NAC room reservations, issue and process invoices, track payments and manage other documents;
  • Reception of NAC visitors: artists in residence, students, VAA staff, general guests, preparation of lease applications and contracts;
  • Manage contact by e-mail, telephone and direct communication with NAC visitors on a daily basis, support with information for the life and work of guests and provide them with information about NAC;
  • Ensure representation, cleanliness and technical functioning of NAC premises, supervise NAC cleaning and housekeeping staff and control their work on daily basis; 
  • Assist in NAC event and project organisation, welcome groups, give excursions about NAC and its operations to groups: students, workshop participants, support travel and catering organisation; 
  • Administer office structure, improve and implement NAC housekeeping and administration processes. 
 

We require: 

 
  • Higher or professional education;
  • Experience and/or interest in working in hospitality field and administrative work;
  • Written and spoken Lithuanian and English in at least B2 level;
  • Driving license;
  • Well equipped in working with communication technologies and administration management programmes (such as Microsoft Office and similar);
  • Capability to solve conflicts in a professional manner, provide concise information, know the basic principles of communication and cooperation, collegiality and norms of official ethics;
  • Knowledge of premises management and an interest in ecological and sustainable ways of maintaining premises.

  • Employment May–October with possibility to change to an open-ended employment; 
  • Accommodation in Nida all year round in a duplex type private room with small kitchen and bathroom (family and pets are welcome); 
  • 900€ salary before Tax;
