Vita Opolskytė selected for 'AIR – ARTIST IN RESIDENCE Niederösterreich' residency

| We are happy to announce that the artist Vita Opolskytė has been selected by AIR – ARTIST IN RESIDENCE Niederösterreich in Krems an der Donau, Austria, to participate in a two-month residency from July to August 2020. |
| Vita Opolskytė (lives and works in Vilnius) studied Painting at Vilnius Academy of Arts. Artist explores the relation between reality and fiction, mixes intimate personal and general cultural experiences and emphasizes the psychological and emotional suggestion of the represented situations. Opolskytė does not limit herself by painting - she takes part in the cultural field as a curator and a writer as well. Her work was recently exhibited at M. Žilinskas Art Gallery, Kaunas (2018), Pamėnkalnio Gallery, Vilnius (2018), Atelier am Eck, Düsseldorf (2018), and at Duisburger Akzente, Duisburg (2017). She is a co-founder of Counter-Argument, a platform dedicated to contemporary painting in Lithuania.
AIR – ARTIST IN RESIDENCE Niederösterreich and VAA Nida Art Colony started their artists-in-residency partnership in 2013. Besides the studio apartment, the artists receive an overall stipend of 2.600 € and are given an ongoing assistance and curatorial support in realizing their artistic projects.
