Nida Art Colony welcomes new Residents in March 2012

The Nida Art Colony welcomes two new artists in residency in March 2012. Marianna La Rosa (JP/USA) and Saulius Leonavičius (LT).

Marianna La Rosa
is a painter born the the USA/Italy but lives and works in Japan. In recent years her work has begun to focus more on space, or rather, the lack of it. She uses the flatness and abstraction to compress space on the canvas.

Saulius Leonavičius is a Lithuanian artist. his work is conceptual, frequently taking the form of interventions into space with banal objects taken out of their everyday context. For more information please visit: http://airb.lt/

Marianna and Saulius will be joining some of our artists from February, Bjargey Ólafsdóttir (IS), Juha Pekka Matias Laakkonen (FI), and Lena Dobrowolska (UK/PL) for the month of March.
