Artists Irma Stanaitytė-Bazienė took part in the A-i-R Krems residency programme, explored the former mental asylum that was transformed into an arts centre and came back with exchiting results. It took a form of the solo exhibition Gugging's Garden that opens on the 3rd of September 6 pm at the exhibition hall Titanikas in Vilnius.

Gugging’s Garden may resemble some road movie scenes or the audiovisual excerpts from a roadtrip diary. For this exhibition three places in Austria are juxtaposed in order to construct the very likely or, in constrast, imaginary links between them. Patient’s room inside the building, the Discovery of the New World in the surroundings of the monastery, and inaudible sounds in the space fitter for the art residency meet in the Gugging’s garden.

Project by Nida Art Colony of Vilnius Academy of Arts together with A-i-R Krems residency programme in Austria.
Partially funded by Lithuanian Council for Culture.

Opening: 3 September, 6 pm.
Walk through the "garden" with the author: 6 September, 6 pm.
Exhibition runs until 21 September at the 1st floor of Titanikas exhibition hall, Maironio g. 3, Vilnius, Lithuania.
