On the 19th of July opening of Nida Art Colony summer exhibition Life Intense took place. NAC artistic director, both curators and most of the artists welcomed visitors and suggested to look into the phenomena of intensifying life.

Exhibition itself is exciting enough, however it marked two more occasions: the closing day of 23rd International Thomas Mann Festival and a farewell by current executive and artistic NAC directors, since the new director is taking the Colony over on the 1st of September.

Exhibition consists of 6 artworks by 8 artists that reflect on the connections between the digital and physical realm through matter, image, sound, word, and rhythm. Most of the works were developed during residencies at Nida Art Colony. Life Intense neither frightens us that artificial intelligence is about to replace humanity, nor worships the algorithmic future. Rather, it attempts to reflect upon our current states.
