On the 25th of May Kiosk: a library of the flaneur display by Nida Art Colony resident Lena Sieder-Semlitsch took place at Kaunas Artists House  (V. Putvinskio g. 56, Kaunas) during Putvinskis street festival.
Kiosk is the prototype of a common kiosk, but meant for the artists publications only. It moves between the boundaries of sculpture and display. It is mobile and can change its form according to the surroundings, functioning as 'a library of the flaneur'. Kiosk could be installed anywhere, offering a variety of artistic publications for the passers-by.

Kiosk is an ongoing project. Artist Lena Sieder-Semlitsch collects artists’ publications in order to present them in her kiosk. Rarity and the attention to details of the non-commercial printed format are her main interests.

During the event at Kaunas Artist House, Lena presented the material she has gathered and collected so far. Amongst the publications one finds exhibition catalogues, portfolios, monographs, experimental prose or graphical experiments - all of them offering the participatory potential of approaching, flicking through, and discovering something new.

Project is partially funded by Lithuanian Council for Culture.
