On the 19th and 28th of March residents Susanna Flock (AT), Leonhard Muellner (AT), Sandra Kosorotova (EE), Laura Pugno (IT), and Ai Sugiura (JP) presented ideas and projects developed during their stay at Nida Art Colony. |
| Susanna Flock presented her experiments with the sugar glass pieces and installation ‘Vakuum Visuals’. A mobile disco is created by a small vacuum cleaner robots moving in the space with mini projectors, speakers and party lights attached.
Leonhard Muellner worked on videos in which he examined the elements of war, virtual reality, and nature. The artist appeared himself in the artworks and showed the struggle between the human and nature. A research on material and reading drafts for the upcoming verses/scarves collection out in May on music label 'Serious Serious' were presented by Sandra Kosorotova. Laura Pugno researched on how people are overcaring of plants. The artist created a book, photograpy series and objects, where she ironically showed how plants can be restricted and wounded by humans. An installation was presented by Ai Sugiura. The artist combined photographies taken during her walks on the beach, deconstructed furniture pieces, and prints on plexiglass. |
