At the NAC temporary project space Kiosk Marlaina Read (AU) presented her installation Forest. The artist installed a frame with two textile pieces, that were dyed with moss and bark. On one of them Marlaina cut out a special generated unicode with the laser cut. The artist is planning to continue adding the textile pieces to the exhibition, at the end of the month sewing all the pieces into a dress and do a performance. Tara Langford (GB) created an installation containing large-scale photographs that the artist took at the harbor in Klaipėda and a variety of materials which are used in a shipping and construction industry. During her residency Katherina Heil (DE) was developing a project Passerby. She was working on big scale drawings, sculptural pieces, and 10-minutes-long video-poem. The artist used pictures of scientific discoveries of the space and the universe creating her own cosmic images and objects. Demelza Watts (GB) presented her research about what is home. She created collages from photographs and laser cut objects, small layouts of the utopian buildings with different rooms, and universal decorations from cardboard and plexiglass. The artist was interested in ways to create comfortable home space and having breakfast in a cosmic station. |
