<<><>> Open Studios event started at the temporary project space Kiosk where Teena Lange (DE) and Claudia Rohrauer (AT) opened their exhibition Sojourners R01 T02. Artists, who have met during their residency at NAC, combined their artistic practices and created a textual and visual narrative that had transformed dunes of Nida into the lands of Mars. During the exhibition opening, Claudia and Teena shared stories about their creative process and what is the meaning behind the cosmic images in their artworks. The exhibition is open until the 24th of November. Event on Facebook |

<<><>> Inspired by the surroundings of Nida, Claudia Rohrauer was studying grains as an element in photography and as a structure of sand by simultaneously approaching the space through the photographic eye. By experimenting with a variety of light sensibilities and different films Claudia created a series of fragmented, black and white images of dunes and sand. |

<<><>> Marcel Tarelkin had been reconstructing the well-known Ikea furniture models into pieces of design and sculpture. Artist interprets Ikea as a one big playground and his art practise as a game in which he had made up his own rules and counting methods for creating new artworks. |

<<><>> Amira Hanafi presented her research about truth and fiction. It was based on Bata Kindai Amgoza Ibn LoBagola book African Savage's Own Story, which was accepted by academic community as a scientific truth for more than fifty years before realizing it’s fiction. Part of her research will be presented in a solo exhibition The Science of a Good Lie at the project space Sodų 4, Vilnius until the 9th of November. Event on acebook |

<<><>> Hanna Schaich had been working on polaroid images and video art pieces. In her artworks she performed a character, which was telling a narrative based on her autobiographical experiences. |
|
<<><>> Teena Lange developed her research on performative art while reflecting years she spent working in a project space Grüntaler9. She invited visitors to her studio one by one and did a 10 minutes-long performance. |
