Inter-PAGAN network meeting moved the 8th Inter-format Symposium closer to Midsummer

The Inter-PAGAN network met for their 2nd online meeting in video-conference sessions on the 28th February, with some members in Nida Art Colony together with partners joining from Helsinki, Oslo, Vilnius, Berlin, Aizpute and Aberdeenshire (altogether 11 persons). Each updated their ambitions for the Inter-Format Symposium on Rites and Terrabytes (June 20-24th), and shared latest developments in their practice or research interest. Out of the box from Riga came the Puzurs made by network participants at the beginning of the network. What also was revealed involved norse myths, sauna whisks, power-symbol souvenirs, feminist forensics, and live connections to Latvian midsummer celebrations and a Brazilian rainforest garden. We also had the first preparatory meeting with the local municipality cultural director about Neringa's midsummer plans. We all imagine the summer sun in deep winter at -15 C with snow and look forward to your proposals for the open call to the symposium until 15th of March. |
