In this workshop led by Sam Margevicius (USA) at NAC (15-21 Sept), students will investigate the material conditions of encountering photographs, and explore ways in which physical context extends meaning in the exhibition of photographic work.

The days will revolve around hands-on exploration, from mounting pictures and building frames to experimenting with installations and documenting them. Lectures will survey the history of photographic exhibitions, and provide an overview of technological developments related to printing, framing, and installation. The workshop will culminate in a collaborative exhibition that is site
responsive and temporal.
