Threads of words, fragments of grief and hope, are bound together here.
They speak from many mouths and many places – Lithuania, Palestine, Armenia, Congo, Syria, Sudan, Ukraine – carrying cries, refusals, and futures.
They tell us: neutrality is impossible. Silence is complicity.
They tell us: the past returns if unthought, but what is recognised can change.
They tell us: every palace stands on buried bodies, every border is drawn in blood, and yet a new world grows in our hearts.
This textile holds poems and protests, blessings and accusations. It holds voices of the living and the dead, the remembered and the forgotten. It holds a refusal to let war, occupation, or genocide be normalised, a refusal to let mourning be severed from solidarity.
Stitched together, these words insist that resistance is daily, that solidarity is borderless, and that never again must mean never again for anyone.
The work has been produced collectively by Unė Labutytė, Ieva Jankauskaitė, Šarūnė Nečiūnaitė, Nunilo Rumbutis, Marijonas Verbel, Viltė Vilūnaitė, and other members of Community in VDA for Palestine, bringing together students, alumni, and academic and administrative staff members.
Curated by Egija Inzule, it is exhibited at VAA Nida Art Colony until the end of September 2025, carrying into public space both its protest and its hope.
