Ute Waldhausen, Waldhausen:OUT, 2010. Produced during an artist residency at NAIRS, Switzerland
  • Residency period: Spring 2025
  • Individual Residency

Ute Waldhausen is from the GDR Harz region and works as a spatial installation and performance artist, exploring body articulations. Since 1992 she has lived and worked in Berlin, London, and the mountains. Her performances have been shown in the Forum Expanded section of the Berlin International Film Festival, the NNOI Festival Zernikow and Café OTO, London. She produces for radio and is part of the music project Parabelles. Her teaching practice is focused on exploring unresisting adventurous respectful movement.

Waldhausen’s work describes a distributed self in the geography of physical experience.

Ute Waldhausen’s residency is supported by Goethe-Institut e.V. Culture Moves Europe.
