Mette Sandfær lives and works in Bergen, Norway. She holds a Master’s in Fine Art from the University of Bergen, Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design, Department of Contemporary Art (2023). Before completing her Master’s degree, Sandfær spent several years as a practicing artist and exhibitor. In connection with her graduation, she received a student award from Tag Team Studio in the form of a solo exhibition. Since then, she has had several solo exhibitions in Norway.
Sandfær’s practice is characterised by experiments with found and easily accessible materials, driven by a desire to challenge conventions and hierarchies. By combining these objects and materials, she creates new relationships, allowing her installations to interact dynamically with both the space and visitors.
