• Residency period: Autumn 2012, Summer 2016

Marika Troili lives and works in Stockholm. Her practice addresses, through a wide range of mediums, the distinguishing yet evasive discursive elements of contemporary late capitalism and tries to, at least temporarily, fix their ‘free flow’ in assemblages of materials and objects, or bodies and performative acts. Her work has been exhibited at venues such as Marabouparken, Stockholm;  Batiment d’art Contemporain BAC, Genève; Romanian Cultural Institute, Stockholm; Arbetets Museum, Norrköping; BAK, Utrecht. Troili holds a MFA from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm.
