Maria Flora Selma lives and works in Zurich. She explores reuse, participation, and self-building as key strategies in design and construction. Her practice spans scenography, spatial interventions, and hands-on building, connecting materials, users, and spatial politics through collaboration. She is part of Bau-Teilen and Gemeinsam bauen wir neu, a feminist building collective. Recent works include exhibitions at Bella and UNI with Vinzenz Meyner, the bar 149, a van for ROSA e.V., a pavilion at Theaterspektakel Zürich, and the reconstructions of Heisswein and The Bottle Shop. Currently she is co-leading a building workshop at Zentralwäscherei Zürich for a public outdoor space.
