Karolina Uskakovych is an artist, designer, and filmmaker from Kyiv, Ukraine. She graduated from the Non Linear Narrative Master’s course at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. Her multi-disciplinary practice examines the entanglement of nature, culture, and technology. Uskakovych’s recent projects have grown from rich academic grounds and bloomed with drawn and moving images, handcrafted objects, and experimental and documentary filmmaking. Uskakovych is an art director for the magazine Anthroposphere: The Oxford Climate Review and an artist in residence with the Digital Ecologies research group. She is a co-founder of the Uzvar Collective and the Ukrainian Environmental Humanities Network, an interdisciplinary space for the academics, practitioners and artists defining this emerging field.
