Jolita Liškevičienė is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Art History of Vilnius Academy of Arts and a lecturer at the same institution. Her main areas of scientific research include 16th to 18th-century book illustrations, printed in Vilnius, the emblems and heraldry of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, sources on Lithuanian Baroque art and art iconography, children’s book illustrations, and contemporary art in relation to text and image. She is the author of the monograph Mundus emblematum: Illustrations of 17th-century Vilnius prints (Vilnius, 2005) and has compiled several collections of historical sources, including Andrew Mlodzianowski, Symbolic Images of the Life and Death of the Blessed Martyr Josaphat, Archbishop of Polotsk.
