Raised in Penang, Malaysia, and currently based in Taipei, Taiwan, Cindy Cheng I-Hsin makes text, performance, sculpture, and installation. Her practice investigates cultural imprints and bodily perception through printmaking-inspired approaches, picturing an alternative way of understanding humanity in which she sees human-being as print-making. Her recent solo shows and residencies include Triangle Arts Association (granted by the Taipei Cultural Center in New York and the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan), National Taiwan University Library, National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology Art Center, and Hong Foundation. She holds a BA in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the National Taiwan University and an MFA in Visual Arts from the Taipei National University of the Arts.
