Anna Luise Schubert is an architectural researcher and cultural worker based in Berlin and Florence. Grounded in experimental, collaborative and queer practices of research, her work focuses on the material histories of modern architecture, often through exhibitions, films, and public interventions. As a board member of the research collective Centre for Documentary Architecture, she co-conceived its online archive documentary-architecture.org and contributed to the exhibition series The Matter of Data (2019–2022). She is also a founding member of the non-profit organisation Förderverein Palast der Republik e.V., which addresses urban memory politics in Berlin. Additionally, she coordinates the Lise Meitner Research Group ‘Coded Objects’ at Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz–Max-Planck-Institut. Her recent publications include the co-edited volume Are You a Model? On an Architectural Medium of Spatial Exploration (JOVIS, 2024).
