Alba Mayol is a writer and visual artist based in Barcelona. She holds a BA in English Studies from the University of Barcelona and an MA in Aesthetics and Theory of Contemporary Art from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Her practice originates in writing and drawing, understood as primary actions that orbit around atmospheric territories – psyche, consciousness, subjectivity, neurodivergence – and materialise through organic and mineral forms, prostheses, and circuits. She creates poetic, emotional, unheroic landscapes, shaped by notions such as affect, vulnerability, trance or embodiment. Mayol explores form, touch and feeling in nature and language as opportunities for fluid existences. Her recent solo exhibitions include Fundació Joan Miró – Espai 13 (2024) and Tecla Sala (2023) in Barcelona. Her most recent performance took place at MACBA (2025).
