Akershus Art Centre announces its 2017 exhibition programme featuring the final show of the VAA Nida Art Colony project

The Akershus Art Centre, located in the town of Lillestrøm 15 minutes away from Oslo (Norway) city center, will have the final exhibition of VAA Nida Art Colony’s “Climbing Invisible Structures” project on show from 10th of February to 12th of March.

Artists Mo Abd-Ulla (NO), Eglė Budvytytė (LT), Tanya Busse (NO), Victoria Durnak (NO), Gunnhildur Hauksdóttir (IS), Berglind Jóna Hlynsdóttir (IS), Saulius Leonavičius (LT), Robertas Narkus (LT), Augustas Serapinas (LT) and Kristin Tårnesvik (NO) will present their works in Norway, concluding the two-year marathon of this visual arts residency exchange and exhibition project. There were three exhibitions in Lithuania: in an underground water reservoir in Vilnius, at VAA Nida Art Colony, and at the Ars Communis Residency Centre YO-YO in Žeimiai. The concept of the project and the residency and exhibition programme were conceived by the international curator duo of Eglė Mikalajūnė (LT) and Samir M'kadmi (NO).
